Marantz 2230 2245 2270 Preamp Rebuild Set P400 Board Receiver Recap Kit WIMA
Up for sale here is this P400 preamp board rebuild set for the Marantz 2230, 2245, or 2270. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Marantz 2230, 2245, or 2270 preamp board. Over time the preamp boards start developing issues with transistors and capacitors, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes all 13 capacitors and 8 transistors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all Nichicon PW, and Wima film caps at the correct uf and the same or higher voltage ratings and the transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi KSC1845FTA and KSA992, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. The 100 uf cap is upgraded to a 220 uf 50v cap for improved filtering. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Marantz gear. There's a reason that the professionals use Wima film caps for this board--they just sound better. Also, frankly, "recapping" is a waste of time if you're not going to replace the transistors as well. A lot of times the transistors age worse than the caps, so you should definitely change out the transistors while you're in there. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a mildly complicated job, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron.
