Fisher RS-1022 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Set
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Fisher RS-1022. This includes replacements for all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the RS-1022, as well as replacements for many of the transistors and for the two safety caps. The RS-1022 uses one STK-043 for the entire output section, and if your RS-1022 is blowing fuses or is distorted on one or both channels it is likely to be a bad STK. There are a number of STK-043s available on eBay from other sellers. I don't know if they are genuine or not, but it's probably fine. New capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, two Kemet safety disc caps, two Supertech axial caps, and two Nichicon VR main filter capacitors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. The original dual-section main filter capacitor is replaced with two individual 4700 uf 50v Nichicon VR capacitors. These will probably both fit in the clamp as a replacement, but they may need mounting under the chassis. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your receiver, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18.
