Vintage Kenwood Model KR-44 Solid State AM/FM Receiver Not Fully Tested Parts
This vintage Kenwood KR-44 solid-state AM/FM receiver is a great find for any collector or enthusiast. It has not been fully tested, but is being sold for parts or not working. Made in Japan, this receiver boasts a classic design and is perfect for any retro-themed setup. Featuring a brand name of Kenwood and a model number of KR-44, this receiver offers a glimpse into the past of electronics. The country/region of manufacture is also Japan, adding to its authenticity as a vintage piece. This receiver falls under the categories of consumer electronics, vintage electronics, vintage audio & video, and vintage stereo receivers. Don't miss out on the chance to own a piece of history. The left hand knob is missing and the right side output switch is definitely not correct. I don’t know what’s going on there, but there is what looks like a screw head. I was unable to turn it as a screwdriver doesn’t work to turn it because there isn’t enough depth. I assume this switch needs to be replaced. I did plug the unit in and the small meter lights up. However, the dial light seems to be burned out. This is probably a simple fix if you’re going to restore it. Also, I noticed right here on eBay. There is a KR 44 restoration kit, Which means this is probably a good quality item overall and just needs restoration/repair The metal body is in great condition. Very unique woodgrain fished on the front and on the metal surround. Yes there are a couple of issues but if you have the time and patience, they can be overcome. I believe this could be a very nice unit for someone if repaired.
