Technics SA-200 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Set
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Technics SA-200 receiver. This includes all the parts you need to completely recap a Technics SA-200, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors, plus replacements for the two 2SA798 dual transistors and four other transistors. The SA-200 uses two STK-029s for the output section, which can go bad, but if they're still working I would not replace them. If need a replacement they are available on eBay, but I don't know whether they are counterfeit or not. I would recommend buying one from the USA. It's a good idea to refresh the heat-sink compound behind your STKs during the rebuild. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the two large filter capacitors, which are replaced with new Nichicon LS 6800 uf 80v caps. The new filter caps are slightly larger in diameter but will fit perfectly. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, and Nichicon LS for the filter caps. There are four KS1815 transistors to replace the three 2SC828s and one 2SC1685 transistors, and there are two matched pairs of KSA992s to replace the 2SA798 dual transistors, which is a little tricky, but definitely worth it. This kit includes a total of 50 parts. This is a fairly simple rebuild, but you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. Please see my pictures for details.
