Sansui F-2619 RF Power Supply Board Rebuild Receiver Recap Kit for 8080DB 9090DB
Up for sale here is this Sansui F-2619 RF power supply board rebuild set. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild an F-2619 RF power supply board, which is used in the Sansui 8080DB and 9090DB. The parts on this board are run pretty aggressively and are subject to a lot of heat, leading them to go bad over the years. If your 8080DB/9090DB works fine but the AM/FM section is dead, rebuilding this board will probably fix it. This kit includes all 5 electrolytic capacitors (105° Panasonic FC and Nichicon PW caps), all three transistors (the correct upgraded Fairchild/OnSemi subs, and the correct 1N5393 diode replacement for D01. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Sansui gear. Recapping this board is a waste of time if you're not going to replace the transistors, since they go bad more often than the caps. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated rebuild, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester, as well as a little heat-sink compound.
