SANSUI 6060 70's Iconic Vintage Stereo Receiver JUST BEEN COMPLETELY OVERHAULED
This vintage Sansui 6060 stereo receiver is a true icon from the 70s. It has been completely overhauled and is in excellent working order. Made in Japan, this receiver is a rare find for collectors and vintage audio enthusiasts alike. It features a unique blend of style and functionality, with a unit quantity of 1 and no custom bundle. As mentioned earlier below is a list of items replaced or fixed in the overhaul: - Full testing of all functions and complete inspection looking for bad components (leaky caps, signs of excess heat, checked voltages, etc.) - All dial lamps and meter lamps replaced with new custom LED bulbs (should never burn out) - All of the “fusible” resistors that are known to fail and drift were replaced with carefully selected carbon composition equivalents to maintain the same original sound - All of the known to fail or prone to get noisy transistors were replaced with modern matched On-Semi equivalents- The speaker protection relay was replaced with a modern high quality Omron equivalent - All switches, potentiometers, RCA jacks, dubbing and headphone jacks cleaned with DeOxit D5 (no static and easy operation) and then lubricated for smooth operation- Amplifier DC offset and bias calibrated, after receiver had been on for an hour - Receiver was thoroughly tested for 2 days straight The repair man indicated their had been little use on this receiver and that the item's replace will afford someone else many years of quality service. It has a wonderful rich tone and the base and treble are both equally matched. Shipping for 3 day ground runs about $50 to $60. I do not mark up my postage costs.
