Realistic STA-85 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Realistic STA-85. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the three boards in the Realistic STA-85, as well as replacements for the 2 main capacitors. This does not include output transistors, lights, or fuses. If you want a light kit, I have an incandescent light kit here and an LED light kit here. Just use "add to cart" on this kit and the light kit, and the shipping will combine when you check out. The original output transistors are usually four 2SC1051. Those are no longer being made, and any available on eBay are most likely counterfeit and may damage your receiver. These outputs can be replaced with MJ21196G. I have those available here. This kit includes the following: Power Supply/amp board: 28 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC, Wima film)2 main capacitors (Nichicon VR 6800 uf 50v)10 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi) Tuner boards: 41 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC, Wima film) Instructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. The transistors are the correct subs for the originals, and the capacitors are the same capacitance (uf) and the same or higher voltage, except that C415, a .15 uf cap, is replaced with a .22 uf film capacitor, which will not affect operation. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your Realistic, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. If you have a background crackle or hum, this will probably take care of it. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 13 different values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, and more. Just use "add to cart" on everything you want and then check out for combined shipping.
