Realistic STA-46 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Realistic STA-46. This includes all the parts you need to replace all electrolytic capacitors in the STA-46, as well as replacements for most of the transistors (other than on the tuner board). This does not include lights, fuses, or STKs. The original outputs are two STK-0015 packs. Those are no longer being made, but there are some available on eBay that will probably work fine. If your receiver is blowing fuses or has a channel out that isn't solved by cleaning the controls, it's probably a bad STK pack. This kit includes the following: Power Supply/Amp Board: 19 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Wima film, 3 Supertech axial) Phono Board: 10 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Wima film)4 transistors (Onsemi) Tone Board: 4 capacitors (Nichicon KL)4 transistors (Onsemi) Tuner Boards: 17 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC, Wima film) Main Capacitor: 3300 uf 100v Epcos (same diameter as the old cap, upgraded capacitance and voltage) Instructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. The transistors are the correct subs for the originals, and the capacitors are the same capacitance (uf) and the same or higher voltage, except the main filter capacitor is upgraded to a 3300 uf 100v Epcos cap. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your Realistic, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. If you have a background crackle or hum, this will probably take care of it. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $6, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values, new 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, new Wima film capacitors for stereo repair, new 250v yellow film crossover capacitors, and more. Just use "add to cart" on everything you want and then check out for combined shipping.
