Pioneer SX-980 Power Supply Protection Board Recap Kit Capacitor Upgrade Rebuild
Up for sale here is this power supply/protection board recap set for a Pioneer SX-980 power supply board. Often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes two separately bagged rebuild kits for the power supply board and protection board. They include: Power supply board: 12 capacitors6 transistors14 diodes (4 zener) Protection board:6 capacitors2 transistors3 diodes (2 zener) These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are Panasonic FC and Nichicon caps at the correct uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors and diodes are the correct OnSemi and Fairchild subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but this is a moderately complicated job, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester, and you will need heat-sink compound for the heat-sinked transistors.
