Pioneer SX-1000TW Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer SX-1000TW, Pioneer SX-1500T, or Allied 395. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-1000TW power supply board, amplifier board, phono EQ board, preamp board, and tuner boards, plus it includes upgraded replacements for all four chassis-mounted capacitors and new 0.7 ohm 7W resistors to replace all six of the original .7 ohm resistors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or output transistors. The correct replacement output transistors are four MJ21196G (replaces 2SC897/2SC793), available here. Please do not buy any of the Chinese output transistors listed on eBay--these are counterfeit and may damage your receiver. The main capacitors are Epcos 3300 uf 100v and 1200 uf 100v capacitors, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Wima film, and one Supertech axial cap at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings. The transistors and diodes are the correct Onsemi subs for the original transistors, and the trimmers are new Bourns trimmers. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. Two trimmers will need one leg extended in order to fit in perfectly, but it's pretty easy, and I'll explain how in the instructions. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. The instructions will walk you through everything, and will also explain how to set the bias and DC balance voltages. Before you order this kit, take a look in your receiver and see if there is a small board marked "W15-010." If you have that board, let me know the capacitor values on it so I can include those.
