Pioneer QX-949 Power Supply & Protection Board Recap Kit Capacitor Rebuild Set
Up for sale here is this power supply and protection board rebuild kit for the Pioneer QX-949 power supply board. Often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! Please note that this is for the QX-949, not the QX-949A, which is different. I do not have a kit available for the QX-949A yet. This kit includes 20 capacitors, 15 transistors, and 8 diodes (2 zener). It will let you fully rebuild the power supply board and protection board. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Wima film, and one axial Illinois capacitor at the correct uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors are the correct Fairchild/OnSemi subs for the original transistors. These are the same parts I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated job, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This kit may not fix your QX-949 if it has other issues, but it will definitely help it run better. Please see my pictures for details.
