Pioneer Light Replacement Kit w/ White LEDs Model SX-838 Receiver Lamp Bulbs
Up for sale here is this complete replacement lighting set for the Pioneer SX-838. You will receive: Eight (8) snap-in warm white LED fuse lamps (for the tuning dial and meters) Ten (10) wired 4mm warm white LEDs (for the speaker lights, source lights, & FM stereo light)One (1) wired 8v 3mm orange LED (for the tuning needle) These are top-quality bulbs, and are the exact same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. These are top-of-the-line lights--I love using them! I have found that warm white LED fuse lamps look the best for the tuning dial--they give a nice clean blue glow. You will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, needlenose pliers, heat-shrink tubing (and something to heat it with), and a Philips screwdriver. Be very careful not to damage the tuning dial cord when you're soldering! If you wrap the dial cord in aluminum foil ahead of time, that will help protect it. Replacing the tuning needle light is a bit difficult--you need to carefully pry open the little metal holder above the needle, put in the new bulb, then close up the metal holder again. The replacement tuning needle LED wires are a bit shorter than the originals, so you may need to splice the wires, then cover them with either heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape.
