Marantz 2275 2285 2325 Preamp Rebuild Kit PE01 Board Receiver Recap Transistors
Up for sale here is this PE01 preamp board rebuild set for a Marantz 2250, 2250B, 2265, 2275, 2285, or 2325 (not the 2265B or 2285B). This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Marantz 2250/2250B/2265/2275/2285/2325 tone amp/preamp board. Over time the preamp boards start developing issues with transistors and capacitors, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes all 15 capacitors and 4 transistors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic film, and Wima film caps at the correct uf and the same or higher voltage ratings and the transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi KSC1845FTA and KSA992, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Marantz gear. There's a reason that the professionals use Wima film caps for this board--they just sound better. Also, frankly, "recapping" is a waste of time if you're not going to replace the transistors as well. A lot of times the transistors age worse than the caps, so you should definitely change out the transistors while you're in there. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. Please see my pictures for details.
