Marantz 2265B Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors
Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Marantz 2265B (not the 2265). This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Marantz 2265B P800 power supply board, P700 amplifier board, P400 phono EQ board, PE01 preamp board, PH01 board, and tuner board, plus it includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and a new relay. This does not include new lights, fuses, or output transistors. The correct replacement output transistors are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SB645) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SD665), available here. Please do not buy any of the fake "Made in Japan" Chinese output transistors listed on eBay--these are counterfeit and will damage your receiver. The 2265B is a bit challenging to work on. Accessing the boards can be difficult, so if you have not worked on vintage gear before, this is NOT one to start with. This kit includes the following: P800 Power Supply Board: 14 capacitors5 diodes (2 zener)3 double diodes 10 transistors1 Relay P700 Amplifier Board: 14 capacitors4 transistors8 diodes (to pair up to replace the 4 MV-13 diodes)1 piece of heat-shrink tubing P400 Phono EQ Board:8 capacitors8 transistors PE01 Preamp Board/PH01 board:18 capacitors8 transistors4 mini adapter boards and 4 dual SMD transistors (to replace the 2SA798s) Tuner board: 29 capacitors2 transistors 2 new main capacitors (same diameter as the old caps so they will fit the clamps, slightly upgraded voltage ratings)Instructions The kit for each board is bagged individually to make things easier. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main capacitors are Chemi-Con 10000 uf 63v capacitors, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi and Toshiba subs for the original transistors, and the relay is a new Omron relay. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Marantz equipment. The 2SA798s on the PE01 board don't always NEED to be replaced, but it's a good idea for longevity. The kit includes 4 tiny adapter boards and tiny SMD dual transistors to replace them. You will need to assemble these, so you'll need either a very fine-point soldering iron tip and very thin solder, or you'll need SMD-working equipment. Or you can skip that step. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
