Huge Power Transformer from Kenwood KW-50 Vintage 1960s Tube Amp PP EL84 T01-91A
Up for sale here is this massive used vintage power transformer from a Kenwood KW-50. This was originally used to power four EL84 output tubes and a lot of 6v tubes. It is a really big transformer, and is in great shape, with just light wear. The mounting hardware is included, but some of the nuts and washers have a fair amount of wear, though they will still work fine. This has a LOT of wires. The two white wires are the primaries. I tested this with a 120vAC input, and it looks like it puts out 5.3v on the yellow wire pair, 6.3v on the blue wire pair, and around 136v or 140v on the red wire pair. There are a couple of other wires as well--not sure if those are for center taps or something else. I am guessing the KW-50 that this came from used a voltage doubler circuit in order to get the voltage high enough for the EL84s. This is probably rated for a LOT of amperage, since it's really massive. This is guaranteed to work fine for you. Please see my pictures for details and dimensions. US shipping and handling is $15. If you have any questions, please ask. I have more Kenwood parts and other vintage electronics listed--feel free to take a look!
