Harman-Kardon HK 330i COMPLETE Rebuild & Repair Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap
Up for sale here is this complete rebuild set for a Harman-Kardon HK330i receiver. This is only for the HK330i, not the 330, 330A, 330B, 330C, etc. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Harman-Kardon HK330i main board (the one with the power supply, protection, amplifier section, and preamplifier section), tuner board, and phono board, and replace the two main caps as well. Over time, capacitors and transistors start acting up and need to be replaced. The old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes: Main board kit: 18 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon VZ main caps)25 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi)4 new heat-sinks w/ hardware (for the driver transistors) 2 trimmers (Bourns) Tuner board kit: 23 capacitors (Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW) Phono board kit: 13 capacitors (Nichicon PW)4 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi) These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. These are not cheap Made in China parts, they are extremely high-quality and they are what I use when I rebuild vintage gear. I recently rebuilt a Harman-Kardon HK330i, which is what made me put together this kit. This should fix almost any problems with the HK330i. It includes all new transistors for the amplifier section, including outputs and drivers, so if you have blown or otherwise dead channels, no problem! The new trimmers for the amp section will need one leg extended, but that's pretty easy. A note about the HK330i: The Harman-Kardon HK330i frequently has issues because the driver transistors run so hot that they will either burn themselves out or desolder themselves. This kit includes substantially upgraded driver transistors, and includes heat-sinks for all four drivers, to prevent future heat issues. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated rebuild, though it's not too bad, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
