2 Replacement Main Filter Capacitors for Marantz 2220B Nichicon 6800 uf 80v 35mm
Up for sale here is this set of 2 new Nichicon LS capacitors. These are 6800 uf 80v capacitors, and are perfect replacements for the main filter capacitors in the Marantz 2220B, Pioneer SX-535, SX-636, and SX-550. These are almost the exact diameter of the old coupling capacitors, so they are drop-in replacements for those. These are extremely high-quality capacitors and are the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. These have substantially higher uf ratings than the old capacitors, which will improve the bass response and the sound in general, with no issues. Dimensions for these capacitors are 41.6mm tall and 35.5mm in diameter at the body. Terminals are about 10mm apart. These are shorter than the old caps, due to improvements in design. Please see my pictures for details. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after replacing the main filter capacitors, you probably wired one backwards. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18.
