2 New 15000 uf 63v Kemet Main Filter Capacitors Pioneer SA-8500 EXACT FIT 40mm
Up for sale here is this set of 2 brand new Kemet Made in EU 15000 uf 63v capacitors. These are drop-in replacements for the main capacitors on the SA-8500, Marantz 2285 (not the 2285B) and Pioneer SX-750, among others. They fit the old clamps perfectly! These are the same capacitors I use when I am rebuilding vintage gear. These measure 40mm in diameter and 75.8mm tall. The terminals are marked + and -. These are a bit shorter than the original caps, and can handle more voltage, but they are perfect replacements and will work great. Please see my pictures for details. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after replacing the main filter capacitors, you probably wired one backwards. US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28.
