Pioneer SX-880 COMPLETE Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Set w/ Relay
Up for sale here is this complete rebuild set for a Pioneer SX-880. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer SX-880 main board and tuner board, as well as replacements for the main filter capacitors and the two caps on the meter board. Over time, the capacitors and transistors on this board start acting up and need to be replaced. The old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit will often (though not always) solve the common SX-880 issue where it goes into protection too early, with the volume barely turned up. The kit for the front main board includes all 42 capacitors, 22 transistors, 8 diodes, and a replacement relay. The tuner kit contains all 17 capacitors and 2 transistors. The two new main capacitors are Kemet 15000 uf 63v caps, and they are the same diameter as the old caps, so they will fit perfectly. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Wima film, and one Nichicon bipolar caps at the correct uf and the same or higher voltage ratings, the transistors & diodes are the correct Fairchild/OnSemi subs for the originals, and the relay is a new Omron relay. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. I will include a surprisingly well-written set of instructions, but this is still a moderately complicated rebuild, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, as well as a little heat-sink compound for the heat-sinked transistors.
