Sansui F-1499 Driver Board Rebuild Receiver Recap Kit for 661 771 Receiver
Up for sale here is this Sansui F-1499 driver board rebuild set. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild an F-1499 driver board for the Sansui 661 or 771. Over time the driver boards start developing issues with transistors and capacitors, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes enough parts to replace all the electrolytic capacitors, diodes (including the two zeners), the four trimmers, and all the transistors except the bias transistors, which you generally don't need to replace. This kit does not include any output transistors, and it does not include the actual board, which you can see pictured above as a finished example. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW and Wima film caps at the correct uf and the same or higher voltage ratings, the trimmers are new Bourns trimmers, and the transistors and diodes are the correct Fairchild/Onsemi subs for the original transistors/diodes. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Sansui gear. Just recapping the driver board is a waste of time if you're not going to replace the transistors as well, which is why this kit includes both. A lot of times the transistors age worse than the caps, so you should definitely change out the transistors while you're in there. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding a board is at least mildly complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a little heat-sink compound as well.
