Replacement Main Filter Capacitor for Marantz Pioneer Nichicon 6800 uf 80v 35mm
Up for sale here is this new Nichicon LS capacitor. This is a 6800 uf 80v capacitor, and it is 41.6mm tall and 35.5mm in diameter at the body. Terminals are about 10mm apart. This will replace the vintage filter capacitors in a LOT of vintage equipment. You can increase the voltage with no issues, so if your old filter capacitor is 35v, 40v, 50v, 55v, 63v, 71v, or 80v this will work fine to replace it. You can generally increase the capacitance as well, so if your old filter cap is 4700 uf this should be fine to replace it. This may be shorter than the old cap due to improvements in design. This listing is for ONE (1) cap, so if you need more, just set the quantity higher. Please see my pictures for details. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after replacing the main filter capacitors, you probably wired one backwards. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18.
