I recently inherited this unit from my late uncle. Everything lights up and the cassette spins forward and reverse and play. The tracks on the eight track shift the turntable plays, but the automatic does not work 100%. It comes exactly as shown. There is a small crack in the lid in the bottom back corner. There is a picture of the crack. I will invest a lot of time and packaging it to help and ensuring safe shipping. I did take a video, but I was not able to post it for some reason.
