McIntosh MAC4100 Recap Kit w/ Instructions Receiver Rebuild Set COMPLETE
Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for the McIntosh MAC4100 receiver. This contains replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including new Nichicon screw-terminal main filter capacitors. It also includes replacements for 8 transistors on the amplifier boards (Q805-Q808) which are important to replace but can be extremely difficult to find subs for. This does NOT include any relays, output transistors, driver transistors, resistors, lights, or fuses. This kit includes 85 capacitors and 8 transistors. The capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, and Wima film capacitors. The main filter capacitors are upgraded to 15000 uf 63v Nichicon capacitors. These will fit exactly where the old ones were, though you will need to reuse the old screws for them. For the other capacitors, many of them go up in voltage, and the .82 uf capacitors found on some units are replaced with 1 uf Wima film caps. There are two different versions of the volume control board, and this kit has the parts to rebuild either version. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I rebuild McIntosh gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated rebuild, so you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron.
