Pioneer SX-838 Power Supply & Protection Recap Kit Capacitor Upgrade Rebuild Set
Up for sale here is this power supply/protection board recap set for a Pioneer SX-838. This is for both the power supply board underneath as well as the protection board next to it. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer SX-838 power supply/protection board. Often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes the following: Power supply kit: 8 capacitors3 transistors9 diodes (2 zener, 1 dual) Protection board kit:6 capacitors7 transistors8 diodes Each kit is bagged separately for ease of installation. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are Panasonic FC and Nichicon caps at the correct uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings and the transistors are the correct OnSemi and Fairchild subs for the original transistors. The diodes are 1N4148s, 1N4004s, 1N5404, MUR1620G, and 1N5243B zeners. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated job, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. You will also need heat-sink compound for the two heat-sinked transistors. Please see my pictures for details.
